House manager, Assistante personnelle

Dear Madam, dear Sir,

My name is Veronique and I was born in France, between Cognac and Bordeaux.
After spending all my school years in France, I joined the French Air Force for 8 years before starting my “professional world trip”.
I have always been interested in what is called “domestic work”, it is to say working in private households. That is why after a season working as a Chambermaid at Knoll House hotel, Dorset, England in 1999, I decided to apply for a position of Housemaid/Lady’s Maid at Windsor Castle, England as they were looking for staff at that time. I thankfully was selected for the job and therefore had the great pleasure to mingle with beautifully spoken people (among the staff as well as among the guests of the Queen). I therefore achieved fluency in English and a thorough understanding and experience in the daily upkeep of magnificent surroundings.
Being mostly attracted to the duties of a Lady’s Maid I then applied for a position based in Egypt as a Travelling Wardrobe Manageress/ Private Personal Assistant to a Saudi Princess. A formidable experience as it needed a lot of organisation, especially while travelling.
However, as I do enjoy learning languages, I thought that teaching might appeal to me and that was the case, that is why I got diplomas in teaching English and French as foreign languages and embarked on a journey into teaching these languages internationally.
I really do like working in Private Households and teaching that is why I went from one kind of job to another without any problem at all.
After many years teaching French as a Foreign Language in different countries and environments, I was once more motivated to undertake a new challenge in Geneva and was really glad to work as a Private Personal Assistant/Household Manager.
When an opportunity was offered to me to work in Russia as a Native French Tutor/Governess to a very young Russian girl I just went for it and it proved very successful indeed for the little girl. After 4 months only, she could understand so much in French and make perfect sentences, a reward for the numerous hours I spent with her. Unfortunately, I broke my left wrist after a fall from a Dutch bicycle (31st August 2018), and I had to quit that position.
After the COVID years, I decided to work in the hospitality industry once more as I do enjoy to be at service and as helpful as possible. Nevertheless, what really appeals to me after gaining such a wide experience is to work as a House Manageress/ Head housekeeper / Personal Assistant or as a Governess as I have a very good understanding of the roles.

I am a very easy going person, hard-working, highly versatile, flexible, punctual, well organised, multi-lingual and I love challenges. I am used to working as part of a team as well as by my own and know how to take initiatives.

I am looking preferably for a long term position but would also consider temporary ones.

I am available immediately.

Warmest wishes and kindest regards,

Veronique Montigaud
