My name is Paul Cottanceau, born and raised in Lyon, France, and started cooking at the young age of 14 in a Michelin-star restaurant, where my passion for the culinary arts was sparked. By the time I was 18, I had already gained significant experience and set off to travel the world, which I’ve been doing for almost 17 years now. This journey has opened my eyes to different cultures and cuisines, enriching my skills along the way.

I’ve had the privilege of working in prestigious private clubs, restaurants, and resorts, and for nearly four years, I have been working closely with royal family members across the globe. Having just completed my tenure in Bahrain, I’m excited and ready to embark on my next chapter.

With a wealth of experience spanning various world cuisines—including French, Nikkei, Japanese, Latin American, Italian, South East Asian, Middle Eastern and Mediterranean.

In addition to my culinary expertise, I bring strong leadership and management skills.

Over the past three years in Bahrain, I built a full-scale kitchen operation from the ground up, managing a team of 25 chefs across multiple outlets within a private palace.

This role demanded meticulous planning, team coordination, and the ability to maintain the highest standards of quality and service.

I have a proven track record of optimizing kitchen operations, managing budgets, sourcing premium ingredients, and delivering exceptional culinary experiences to high-profile clientele. My leadership extends beyond the kitchen, fostering an environment of growth, collaboration, and consistency.

I have attached my portfolio and personal cookbook, which offer a deeper insight into my culinary journey and accomplishments.
