Perhaps our professional career is not necessarily like that of many others, but our activities over many years in the global and upscale hotel & catering industry are a testament to our passion for this profession and industry.
We have been working for the last few months in the environment of a Private Villa for an UHNW Family near Lugano, Switzerland and Miami, Florida.
Due to long delays in the renovation project of the Villa, the move of the family entrusted to us is still a long way off. However, we had the opportunity to travel with our Principals to Florida where we successfully cared for the famil'ys needs and the overall management of the Villa. Our responsibilities gave us joy and satisfaction but also proved to us that we are more than capable to fulfil our duties at the highest standard, with discretion and confidentiality.
Due to the lengthy delays of the renovation project, we have decided to accept new commitments as we are eager to share our passion and skills towards caring for another UHNW Family.
For the last 5 years before we moved back to Switzerland, we lived near Munich. After working Professionally all over the world from Chef to Executive Chef for International Hotels, Resorts, Golf Clubs, small Hotels and Conference Centres and in recent years as the owner of my own consulting company, as a trained Chef, I had the opportunity to get to know people's food culture on a global level.
Our experience in the field of VIP care spans many years and Continents, whether it be Heads of State and Presidents, Kings and Queens, International top VIPs as well as industrialists from all over the world. I consider myself to be lucky, as I was very often able to entertain the late President Nelson Mandela. The English Royal Family, Kofi Anan, Oprah Winfrey, 36 Heads of State under one roof, Zulu King, King Goodwill Zwelithini and countless other high-profile people from many countries were guests under our guidance.
Not only were we able to organize big events, but under my own Company, we had the opportunity to plan and coordinate countless smaller and larger VIP events which we managed with our team of staff, from two people Valentine's Day dinner over 700 km distance, weddings in the "wild bush among wild animals", private gala dinners with international guests of Music, Film and Global Representations such as United Nation, for the Chief Medical Doctor of South Africa, catering at the MY "Divine Decadence" in Fiji and many others.
We have been married for 33 years and make the perfect Team. We have 3 adult children M (31), lives in Dubai and worked professionally as a PPO on superyachts for years. Today, he has his own company and works globally as a VIP Close Protection Officer. F (23) has completed her vocational training and works for a renowned company near Munich. F (21) will graduate from high school in Germany this year.
After the catering years as a corporate employee, my wife had mainly taken care of our children and the household of our own home on a 1800m² property in South Africa. When I started my own business, my wife supported me in all aspects of our activities. As a Hotel Manager on a small game reserve with a variety of different Antelopes, Zebras, large birds, small wild cats, lake and swamp inhabitants, it always took more than just two hands. The many events, gala dinners, private caterings, garden parties, restaurants and bars, I would never have been able to organize so successfully without the help of my wife. My wife was the best supporter and mainly took care of the front of the house, beautifully set tables, fresh flowers, friendly smiles, and professionalism have become important attributes of her activities. So, I can say that we have become a real and dynamic hospitality-housekeeper couple.
As the owner of my own firm in South Africa, one had to deal with countless technical problems and challenges, so I could become a versatile and flexible all-round technician". These skills also helped me as the manager of the small hotel with game, conference and wedding facilities, pool, tractors, implements, vehicles and technical equipments always needed some support.
Starting date could be negotiated, Spring 2024 (March/April)
