We are an experienced couple with a demonstrated history of working in the hospitality, leisure, travel & tourism industry. We have been together since 2002 living and working in France and now feel that the time is right to relocate back to the UK to share our experiences in a more private environment.
Our professional time together has incorporated many roles within the hospitality sector; Housekeeping, cooking in chalets or hotel kitchens, serving in restaurants/bars and carrying out repairs & maintenance, our CVs detail full employment history.
In our personal life, we have purchased an old property that required a lot of work. We have renovated and modernised bathrooms, kitchen, insulated throughout and created a new large kitchen/diner by removing walls – the majority of works were carried out by ourselves, and we over saw the work of contractors when necessary.
At home we have a good-sized garden with vegetable plot, fruit trees, hedges, and lawn that we tend to with regular upkeep. The garden certainly keeps us busy in the spring and summer months as we try to cook with our fresh produce. In the autumn any surplus is made into jams and chutneys, preparing the grounds for next year.
Chris is adept at using a chainsaw, which is a necessity when having a wood burner, but he does not have a license as one is not required for personal use.
We both have clean driving licenses and have driven in snow/poor conditions for in excess of 10 years; average annual mileage on motorways and mountain roads is 50, 000 kms per year.
The female of the couple enjoys walking, running, baking, sewing & crafts and is currently learning the art of upholstery.
The male of the couple enjoys walking, being outdoors in general, bread making, DIY and is a keen cyclist.
