I am originally French. I have been in the yachting industry for a bit more than four years. I worked as a Chief Stewardess, sole Stewardess, 2nd stew, as well as have 3 years in the hospitality industry.
Before that, I studied HR and was working in parallel in an agency specialised in high-end events. I was in charge of recruiting (mainly temp but not always) Chefs/ Personal Chefs, Butlers, barman(-aid), steward(-ess), waiter(-ess), personal employees for private receptions / clients and luxury franchises.
As of now, I’m looking for a kind of work life balance and to work back on land. I wish to work for UHNWI family/ company. It could be House Manager, Personal Assistant, or something similar. I am flexible, I wish to combine my two different experiences (administrative/ manage side and hospitality knowledge) and to pursue my career in luxury.
I have a strong sense and interests for fashion, architecture, interior design, and enjoy working in high standards environments.
I believe my level of English isn’t bad which can be a significant bonus for my next opportunity.
To tell you about my skills gained on yachts:
I used to make a lot of cocktails/ refreshers on my previous boats; flower arrangements; silver, American and Russian service; synchronised service; buffets; serving up to 16 guests basically by myself; table decorations and themes; and general tasks like housekeeping; detailing; wardrobe management; laundry (guest + crew); groceries; pantry management; tea and cigar service. I’m also used to deal with inventories, receipts, reimbursement, and administrative tasks.
And in the high event HR agency, among a lot of other responsabilities, my main ones required to :
Deal with the creation of contracts, timesheets, payrolls and all administrative documents;
Track employee entries, exits and sickness absences;
Organize meetings and appointments;
Train the employees on how to do the service (buffet or breakfast, lunch / dinner) and how to set up tables;
Create schedules for the events on two different softwares, one called Waeve;
Track and manage clients planning and requests and making sure all of them have been recorded in the softwares;
Manage employees planning; dealing with high-end clients; going on site before and during the events starting to check that everything was fine and going well;
Generate reminder messages to ensure that the employees were not forgetting their mission of the day and making sure they were ready by having their outfits and tools;
Organizing transports for the temp employees;
Best regards,
Anaïs Sarkissian.
