Maintenance Manager – Private Villa (South of France)
Looking for a Maintenance Manager will oversee all facilities and maintenance operations for a private luxury residence in the South of France. This is a hands-on role requiring strong technical expertise, autonomy, and discretion. The successful candidate will take ownership of day-to-day maintenance, preventative works, and contractor coordination where specialist support is required.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage all facilities and maintenance operations across the property.
- Carry out hands-on electrical and general maintenance repairs where possible.
- Diagnose faults and proactively address maintenance issues to prevent escalation.
- Source, appoint, and manage external contractors when additional expertise is required.
- Oversee procurement of materials, parts, and services related to property maintenance.
- Ensure all electrical systems and maintenance work comply with relevant safety standards and regulations.
- Respond flexibly to urgent issues and emergency callouts as required.
- Maintain a high standard of discretion, professionalism, and reliability in a private household environment.
Required Experience & Skills:
- Certified electrician with a recognised qualification.
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience as an electrician, ideally within high-end residential or luxury properties.
- Strong knowledge of electrical systems, maintenance, and repair techniques.
- Experience working autonomously and managing workloads independently.
- Familiarity with luxury property maintenance is highly desirable.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with a proactive, solutions-focused approach.
Languages:
- Fluent English required.
- French highly desirable.
