QA/University of Ulster – London Campus (Head of Compliance) July 2012 – May 2015

Conduct English tests with all students applying to the University of Ulster – ensuring that all students have the required B2 level in Reading; Writing, Listening and Speaking
To provide training at both campuses to ensure all staff have the appropriate level of knowledge Home Office immigration rules
To lead on the understanding and evaluation of all Home Office guidance, policies and operational implementation of those rules, from the earliest stages of recruitment, through the application and admissions process, to students completing their awards and graduating
To liaise with our partner, University of Ulster. Maintaining key relationships and developing a network of contacts to ensure broad compliance has been a vital part of this role

Ensuring awareness of the responsibilities of working under the university’s Home Office sponsor licence.
Managing the colleges reporting system for the Home Office and induction processes to collate key documentation.
Supporting students who require visa extensions, assisting with English level or wish to transfer in to the college from an alternative sponsor.
Training of new staff members on internal compliance procedures and processes (including issue of a sponsor licence number for each student)
