RESPONSIBILITIES: Monaco-based family is looking to hire a House Manager to oversee the operation of their properties and ensuring a high quality of service throughout the homes.  Maintaining a daily order of routine so that day-to-day tasks are accomplished seamlessly by the staff so that the principals have a calm household environment.  Staff Management.  Oversee permanent and temporary staff. Ensure that staff are maintaining a high level of professional standards at all times in their demeanor and in the work they carry out. Create and implement a chores list. Provide training if necessary. Communicate principal’s requests to appropriate person. Administration.  Develop monthly rotas, and any other requested administrative tasks.  Speak with suppliers. Maintain petty cash.  Household Cleaning.  Monitor house cleaning staff to ensure that a very high standard of cleaning is met.  Wardrobe Maintenance.  Keep principal’s clothes in order.  Accounting.  Keep track and manage petty cash, household expenses, staff expense reports. Oversee household budget.  Liaise with chef.  Understand/communicate meal menus, timing, details. Assist with shopping when required.  Pet Care.  Assist with managing daily routine of feeding and walking the two dogs. Buy supplies. Monitor their health - vet visits etc. . Preparation for travel. Stay with them on occasion while principals travel.  Car Maintenance.  Daily care of several cars which includes: maintenance, cleaning.  Travel Liaise regarding male principal’s work travel. Coordinate staff travel between residences. travel with principal on occasion.  Other: Booking restaurants, household purchases, running errands etc.  
Organized.  Ability to determine household requirements (current and future), and an ability to carry out these tasks in an efficient and timely manner. Plan and oversee household seasonal moves between countries. Able to see the big picture. Able to prioritize. Think ahead.  Detail oriented. Although not a formal household it is essential to have an interest and a capacity to notice the smallest of details - in household cleaning, room appearance, wardrobe maintenance. This is a critical skill as it not only needs to be demonstrated in the candidate but also requires the candidate being able to assess or teach to others.  Flexible.  Ability to be responsive to changing needs when plans change. Ability to adapt to various environments, cultures. Proven management of a team. Implement and maintain the established standards of the household.  Technology savvy.  A good communicator and team player.  Ability to be in tune with what is needed perhaps even before it is even required. Either to perform the task or have the capability of communicating to other staff members what needs to be done. And assist them when necessary.  Spoken French is mandatory.  In order to properly communicate with suppliers etc. must be fluent in French.  
IDEAL CANDIDATE TRAITS: well presented, high attention to detail, patient and calm, well organized, French and English speaking essential, German a plus, flexible, minimum 5-year experience in a similar position is required.
OTHER: The household is fragrance free. Absolutely no perfume or fragrances in household products. No smoking is permitted on premise. Prefer non smoker. The male principal is diabetic. Principals are very attentive to detail in all areas of their lives. They like to have a calm household. They entertain from time to time. Requires dog friendly individual. Responsibility of looking after dogs on a daily basis. In addition, on occasion, to stay with the dogs, when principals are traveling. The majority of time is spent in Monaco.
